Congratulations, lildago! How fun for your little girl! I was roughly her age when I became a big sister, and I was absolutely thrilled about it.

I never has myself pegged as the maternal type, but recently I've realised that I've changed the way I speak about children. Before, it was always "if I have children"; now, it's suddenly "when I (or even we!) have children". Two major differences there. I'd love to be a relatively young mother, so we'll probably start trying for a baby as soon as I have a steady income. The closet neo-traditionalist in me probably wants to get married first, though. If I by any chance should become pregnant before that (there's always immaculate conception... kidding. ), I'd definitely keep the baby and be equally delighted about it. So, I'll probably join you for real in this thread in a couple of years or so. In the meantime, I'll keep lurking here, reading about your experiences.

GTG, it's great hearing you are looking forward to getting pregnant someday. Just think of all the new books you can read.

This is good advice, but beware, CC, that fertility specialist is a buzzword today for some doctors who claim to be specialists. Make sure you investigate, and get good recommendations before you pick someone. There are some fabulous doctors out there, but also some jerks who claim to have some specialty.

I'm not sure how old you are, but you are wise not to take someone else's advice on what your timeline should be about getting pregnant. As long as you get the go-ahead medically to begin trying, I encourage you to follow your heart, and do whatever it takes to make it so. Good luck, and keep us posted.

I just turned 31 and don't want to wait much longer. I will definitely take everyone's advice and talk to the doctor about seeing a specialist
I can only please one person a day, today is not your day and tomorrow doesn't look good either

    Congrats lildago!!

I go back to the Dr this week, and theyre gonna do a full sono just to make sure she's growing OK. I dont know if shes still flip flopping, but for the first time I literally felt her head up at my ribs, it was like she was tryin to push out of my belly lol (until I started letting people feel it and they ended up pushing her somewhere else).

I cant believe I only have one more prepared childbirth class!! Time sure flies.

These are happy tears for you! I just want to say how thrilled I am for you! I just got back from my vacation, and while there had my first dose of my impending "empty nest"! My 17 year old had to leave early to go to football camp at the University of Tennessee. I cried my eyes out, as this could quite possibly be his last family vacation with us!! I seriously started to think that I need to find Mr. Wonderful and have another one!

Enjoy your babies, and especially the new one!

Thanks everyone! Well, the fun part is here. I've been so nauseous today that all I've eaten is an apple. Nothing else sounds good and just the thought of it makes me queasy. The hardest thing was fixing breakfast and lunch for my kids. My hubby definitely has the dinner shift! Other than that I've just been really tired in the afternoons. I turned on a movie earlier for the kids and tried to lay on the couch to rest. It didn't last long though. I dozed off for a few minutes and there were instantly little faces peering into mine.
