Me too desertrose. It is very frustrating, but it will all be worth it. If I don't hear something by the middle of summer, I am going to ask the doctor to send me to some type of specialist for my thyroid and go back to see my obgyn

Good luck with that CC. I know you've been waiting a long time and it is tough to do.

    Combat,

Hopefully things are all worked out now and you will get pregnant quickly!! You have been trying longer than me (1 month), so I couldn't begin to imagine your heartache. Good luck and hopefully we can be pregnant together!! =)

Aw, Tiny, I'm so sorry to hear this, as I know you were hopeful. Hang in there, and let everyone here comfort you.

Combat, you've truly got my empathy, too, because you've been trying for so long, and have been through so much. I've never understood why some of us who want children so badly have to go through such distress, but I know medicine has come a long way, and I look forward to hearing good news from you soon.

What fabulous news from one of my favorite posters! That is one lucky baby to have you and Mr. Lildago as his/her parents, and the little ones are going to be fantastic siblings. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone for the support. It truly is a shame that the ones that want them have a hard time. I am thinking about asking my doctor to send me to a specialist when I have an appointment the end of the month. What do you guys think? What type of doctor should I go to? But for now, I am just keeping my fingers crossed that it will happen soon for us.

CC - Ask your doc if they would refer you to a reproductive endocrinologist, which I think is the most common type of fertility doctor practice. I tried for a pretty long time before I got pregnant with my daughter (who is turning 6 this month, I can't believe that), and it was after I finally got a referral to a RE specialist that we were able to get all the hormone levels right so we could make a baby. So when I got remarried last year (5 years later), I thought I'd need medical help to get pregnant again (now being "advanced maternal age" and everything) but that was apparently not the case.

    Good luck.

Combat, thanks for the update on your condition. It seems like a blessing now just a tiny bit that you had problems last year, doesn't it? I'm so glad your thyroid wasn't given a chance to progress. Now the timing seems better. It definitely takes some patience and a lot of determination, especially when you've got a few medical obstacles to face.

LG, thanks for the advice. I will definitely talk to the doctor about that. He keeps saying that I'm young and not to worry about it, but when you want a baby so bad, it seems endless.

My goodness! Congrats, lildago! Good thing you have that SUV! Well, you have a boy and a girl, so plenty of hand-me-downs for whatever you get!

CC, are you able to see a fertility specialist? They would be able to assess your medical history and give you the lowdown on your chances, and maybe give you some fertility drugs. Best of luck.

AJane, I don't know if hubby's insurance covers that, so I will also check into that. I have 2 weeks before I go back to the doctor, so I'm just getting some ideas. I'm going to have to pull his insurance stuff this weekend and find out what exactly is covered
