One of the things I hate the most are the people who "reply to all" on emails. I understand that sometimes, for some people, it makes sense. For me, though, it never does.

I have a friend who is active in the improv scene here. Every week he sends out an email to his entire address book about where he'll be performing and when. Unfortunately, about half the people on his list are former 2nd City classmates of his, and EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM wants to use it like...well, kind of like a message board almost. And you know, I don't care if some girl I've never met and never want to meet has an audition somewhere, and I don't care about their inside jokes, and I don't want to come home to 43 emails in my inbox (of my supposedly spam-free account, no less), 42 of which make no sense to me.

And the worst part is that now I'm in those people's address books too. If any of them get some sort of worm or virus that targets their email clients, it means I have to worry about getting it too.

People don't often send me the inspirational stuff, because I guess they know me well enough to know it's not my cup of tea. But I do end up getting every joke-inspirational thing under the sun. You know, the kinds of things that are supposed to be parodies of the real inspirational things? It was funny in 1999 when I first saw it, MOM. Not so much anymore.

I agree. Not to mention, that tells me that the person was too lazy to look at my profile and ask me something intelligent. I haven't been in chat rooms in a couple of years so I haven't had to get upset at that one lately. whew!

I have never been in a chat room. I was on IM one evening and I was IMed by somebody I didn't know. Thats the question that was asked...

I also abuse exclamation points and periods as well.... I really want to convey to people how I really feel.

LOL Broadway! I'm slightly addicted to ellipses too. I'm super free with punctuation when I'm online, but I do it so that my writing is close to how I speak.

When I'm talking about over-used punctuation, I mean the posts that have lots of exclamation points and no point:
"I love [insert young stud's name here]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I hate message board trolls. They're dealt with really quickly here, but I frequent another board that is not well moderated, so the trolls roam freely. Drives me nuts.

I hate that when I search for images, even the most innocuous search words will come up with porn pics. Let's just say that a search for "balloon" did not return what I was hoping for. Neither did "hot dog"

I hate websites with special intros that do me no good, and are just a waste of my time until I can find the "skip" link. Simple, straight to the business websites without any fancy extras are nice, but all kinds of extras, including background music of anykind, are annoying.

I also hate websites where I have to do lots of left/right scrolling. Up/down is normal (when reading text), left/right is annoying. Also, sites where when one looks at slide shows, and every time one clicks on new picture the screen moves so that one has to scroll the screen down again in order to see the picture (not just top half of the picture). (Are you listening ABC?)

I hate the fact that some place as entertaining as The Fort can get hacked like we have been today.

Okay...I was wondering. I got in by entering the showthread in the address. I was really surprised when I couldn't use my normal shortcut. I really hate that too.
