One time my husband typed his own name in the browser window just to see what would come up and he got a porn site.

That was scary. (Hopefully Mr. Marleybone isn't leading a double life

I hate the porn/viagra/hot women spam as much as the rest of you. Fortunately it goes into my junk mail folder. Sadly, the chain mail/angel wing/junk from people I know doesn't, but as I never reply my friends are fairly judicious before mass forwarding.
I also hate viruses/worms/spyware.

It just irks me that all I want to do is check email, shop and play online, and I practically have to gird my computer for war to do it or it'll get completely eaten up by that crap.

I used to hate those gray "messenger" pop-ups -- I don't know if they exist in all browsers, or just AOL, but they drove me batty till I figured out how to turn them off. I was once at an election night party during a local race, and the people there had a laptop hooked up to a projection screen to show the election results as they came in. Unfortunately they also had AOL, and did not know how to turn off the pop-ups. After a few ads for Viagra, hot teenagers and porn (complete with a rough outline of a female shape) popped up on the projection screen, they fixed it with a quickness.

I don't even know how to describe this well enough: It's a "bar" that is animated, that follows you EVERYWHERE on a site as you scroll down! They aren't even ads, but part of the website!

Also....when you visit individuals webpages because they are experts in a field and they have the MOST ANNOYING AND CORNY music playing on there! Ugh! Do they think that you want to listen to "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" for 15 minutes when you're looking at B & B's in Ireland?

I haven't had this happen with our mac but with the pc some service kept changing us to their search engine. It was so irritating to expect google to pop up and this wierd service was there instead. I emailed google and they told me about Spybot to get all the junk off my system. It was amazing.

I hate popup porn. I hate ads that if you try to exit out of it, it takes you to the site instead and freezes up your computer. I hate popup ads completely! I hate junk email. I hate chain letters. I hate how if you type in the name of a completely normal site, like whitehouse.com, it comes up as a porn site. DONT CLICK ON THAT LINK! WARNING!

But seriously, its disgusting. I was trying to look up info on Bush, and trust me, thats NOT info on Bush. Of course, I quickly exited out of it, but that stuff gets on my nerves.

I have mozilla and a pop blocker so i have no pop up troubles unless im on aohell.
