    How Do You Motivate Yourself?

I'm not talking about life motivation... just getting through the mundane things.

Here's mine, and boy is it lame, but it would make for a good game show

If my house is a mess and I just don't feel like cleaning it, I convince myself that at any minute a new game show will come to my house and pay me for every clean thing in it... $100.00 if the bed is made.... $100 for a clean toilet....$100 if the kitchen floor is clean... you get the picture... today I'd be rich

I have zero motivation. I need this thread.
It occurred to me that no matter how bleak things might seem at times, at least I have a head. ----Stargazer

My wife & I share the housecleaning duties. I try to vacuum twice a week, and dust once in a while. I also water the plants and scrub the toilets regularly. She mops the floor, loads & unloads the dishwasher, and does the laundry. Everything else, we just kind of handle as it happens.

Oh, and I'm on "dog duty". Or should I say "doody".

Knowing FG, I'm certain a dp is a Dr. Pepper, Cali.

Motivation? Hmmm.... struggling with it of late. But I love your idea, Cali!

Usually I invite people over and run around the house cleaning frantically while my wife and the cats run screaming from the crazy man.

It took a lot of careful and persistent training, Sher. I even pick my dirty clothes up off the floor, and put the toothpaste back in the medicine cabinet when I'm done brushing my teeth.

Of course, my office is a mess, but that's a different story.

Unfortunately, my dog is a little sick today, and so far I've avoided having her in the house. But she HAS peed on the deck and thrown up several times outdoors. I hate when she's sick, so I'm trying to take good care of her.

And all this time I didn't think my wife and Ducky had anything in common! Sadly, Dylan doesn't know where we live.
