Thanks you 2! I actually saw this couch on a trading spaces show too. I think some college kids have it. I have the matching loveseat also. As soon as i saw it in the furniture store i knew it was gonna be MINE!!:lol

In regards to themed trees, we don't do that, but a friend of mine has a themed tree in every room of her house. To name a few, she has a Who-ville tree, a penguin tree, a nativity tree, and a nutcracker tree. I noticed when I was at her house last weekend that her formal living room had not just a themed tree, but a themed ROOM - all wisemen, the three kings. It took me a little while to realize it because she didn't overdo it but I finally noticed that all of the decor in there was all in relation to wisemen - right down to a book she had strategically propped open to a page that read "King of Kings". The tree in that room was decorated with wisemen, crowns, gifts, purple robes, etc and the tree topper was a crown. It was gorgeous. I, on the other hand, just go for a hodge-podge of traditional family ornaments.
Everyone has lovely trees, what a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
I usually put up two trees, one "pretty" tree that is all cream and gold with bows and lots of ornaments, from lacy white snowflakes to glittery gold nativities. Looks like something right out of a store.
The second tree has all my "homey" ornaments ranging from ornate real feather birds my Great Aunt Betty had on her tree in the 40's to sloppy Play-Duh snowmen I made in 2nd grade. It is very colorful and fun.
I've been having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit this year, but my Sister talked me into putting up at least one tree. She came over last Saturday and we put up my pretty tree. I just didn't have the heart to put up my homey tree, not with all the ornaments Mama and I made. Too many memories.
I'll try and post a picture tonight, as long as the kittens haven't torn it up! Last night they pulled all the gold beaded strings off the bottom of the tree. They leave everything else alone, it's just the beads.

We have a fake tree, i'm allergic to real ones:(
