    8. When do you put your Christmas tree up? Always on December 1. It doesn't feel like Christmas in November because of the lack of snow.

We hardly ever have snow period. When we do get winter weather, it's usually ice storms. I did snow here on Valentine's Day this year.

I have never had a white Christmas.

We sometimes get snow in Minnesota in October!! We had a blizzard several Halloweens ago and us kids still went trick-or-treating through the 10 foot high snow drifts. Anything for candy.
Thankfully, we don't have snow yet! We'll see how long that lasts, though! It's always nice to have it for the holidays.

Trust me when I say that snow loses its charm after the first 5 feet.

I think snow loses its charm when it starts to turn yellow.

If I wake up before the kids I'm going to wrap some presents tomorrow. I'm running out of places to stash them and will start stacking them wrapped in the store room. One of the things that breaks the season up for me a little is that my parents and sibs get together at Thanksgiving and exchange Christmas gifts then. We live all over and have our own Christmases apart. That way I get my mom, dad, sibs, nieces, and nephews out of the way and can focus on my kids and friends after TG.
    Count your blessings!

I know. My ex-husband was from Minnesota and I've been there in the middle of winter. Too much for me to handle!!

It's just fun to have a little snow once in a while.....

I'm sure you've seen too many movies where people get way too intoxicated, but has that ever stopped you?

Good point, good point. But when characters drink in the movies, they look like they're having fun and they look cool. And that is why I drink. (Thanks, Hollywood!)
