Good phat, good. I open up the door and before the kids can say anything I yell out "Trick or Treat!" They give you this half scared, half goofy look and then say very meekly "Trick or Treat." I respond with "I asked you first so you have to give me some of your candy." It's fun.

But you do wear your Foghorn costume, don't you?

All the time. I just didn't wear it to FORTcon because I'm just a little bashful. I did however, wear my Foghorn golf shirt on Friday. I have it on in my profile picture with Jewelsy.

Well, at least now I know what to do to have a good time tomorrow.

I hate letting the kids have all the fun.

Some of the kids in my neighborhood might think that this year. Our church gave us some tracts to hand out to the kiddies. (Don't worry, they also got candy from me)

Um, we had that rule in the 70's too.

I think most parents would be offended if you weren't willing to eat the candy yourself you're giving their children... :

Aw, now, don't say that. Just for that, I'm handing you your choice of "Sexy Spacegirl" or "Sexy Nurse" outfits. Enjoy! (And happy belated birthday, by the way. Hope it was a good 'un.)

I don't know where I read this, but the myth of candy that had been tampered with is just that: an urban myth. Supposedly, there has never been one--not one--reported incident of candy poisoning anywhere in the United States. Is that to say that parents shouldn't be careful? Hell no. These days, it pays to be safe. Crazy times, the era we live in.

Maybe we ought to have a costume contest next year. Oh yes.

What a big weekend this is, leading to an even bigger week. My Election Day advice will be along tomorrow. You can have fun while you do your civic duty.

Thank you phat for confirming my natural instincts to protect the children. Additionally it may keep them from gaining too much weight while consuming Halloween candy. Anything for the kids.

Just a couple of kid jokes and then they talked about Jesus. Nothing big, but I am sure some found it lame. Oh well...they still got the good candy (Milk Duds)
