Well you learn something everyday. I didn't know that and I lived in New Bern (actually Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station) with my brother for a few months back in '69.

I always drank Pepsi too. Now if I do buy pop (diet) I buy whichever is on sale. We sell Pepsi at the restaurant.

Don't feel bad. I don't like them either. But I do like Goo-Goo clusters. Haven't had one of those in a few years though. Talk about making your teeth hurt they are so sweet.........

Unk, we actually have a "Pepsi Lounge" at the museum I volunteer at and there is all this Pepsi memorabila and a "time-line" of Pepsi history. I didn't know it was invented in NC either until I started hanging out in the "Pepsi Lounge". I do prefer Coke, but I will drink Pepsi if I have too, which is all they have at the museum, so I'm forced to drink it there. Funny thing is that the Musuem is built right behind the old Coca-Cola bottling plant and it has a HUGE Coca Cola logo in it in carved stone. I just find it humerous that we're sponsored by Pepsi and look out the window and see "Coca-Cola" in 6 foot letters.

Moon Pies - Banana, Chocolate and vanilla flavored. I've been eating them lately with FANTA orange soda.

Ummm, Goo-Goo Clusters. Made by the Standard Candy Company from my hometown of Nashville, TN. My unkle uncle used to work for Standard Candy and would bring us boxes of them. I love you Uncle Floyd.

My grandfather loves cornbread and milk -- milk-and-bread, we call it. And Unk, your fried cornmeal cake sounds delicious, and also a lot like polenta.
