    trixie: I'm with you...kobasa warmed under the broiler.

    I'd have to say one of my comfort foods is pyrogies with sour cream, butter, onions and bacon bits!

    I'm not a big fan of potatoe dumplings but show me the potatoe pancakes /latkes and I'm there!

    A bowl of hot soup is always a good comfort food on a cold dreary day. With fresh bread and butter. Like borscht!

    since some of y'all's comfort foods gross me out , I had one of my favorites today.
    Herring on crackers. As long as I only get it so often - its one of my treats.

    but most of my comfort foods involve cheese in some manner.

    I made my dad something for dinner that we haven't in a really long time. He LOVED in and requested that i make it more often lol. I made kielbasa baked in bbq in the oven and mac n cheese. It was pretty yummy!

    Also, right now I am eating chips and garlic dip. Yum!

    A fried oyster po' boy is the ultimate!

    I would love to make some oyster stew too.

    I am headed off to the grocery store, but only have nice healthy food on my list for this week. Am determined that I do NOT need any comfort this week in the way of food and will buy more veggies and fruit and nothing containing flour or high fat.

    But I'm going to HAVE to visit the local fried food eatery and get me some fried oysters soon. Maybe as a special reward at the end of the month for eating better and exercising.

    Although I could make do with healthier raw oysters. I like those too.
