My ultimate comfort food is pasta. It's one thing I can eat any time, even if I'm sick, and I don't get sick of it. Chocolate's my other one when I'm moping or stressed.

My sister's is nachos and she swears that she could eat them even when she's sick. I don't think that would settle my stomach, but to each her own of course.

Grilled Cheese would be #1 on my list. I also love mashed potatoes and meatloaf. A special favorite is Campbell's (and it HAS to be Campbell's) Split Pea Soup. I love that with a small dollop of sour cream in it.

I don't know, I've had some incredibly BAD pizza lately. One I couldn't even eat after one bite it was so nasty. So I don't think I can make that statement.

You may be able to get good country cooking/soul food/Southern cooking/comfort food here, but Chinese and Pizza, nah, not happening in this part of South Carolina.

Mashed potatoes is the ultimate comfort food for me. Home-made, of course, with just a hint of nutmeg. Mmm...

Oh the South's great. Love it. Wouldn't live anywhere else. But have yet to find decent Chinese or Pizza in this state. Found P.F. Changs which is awesome, but no take out or delivery and affordable Chinese and just awful pizza.

At least when I lived in Florida, we had enough New York transplants so you could get really good pizza. But here, they think Little Caesar's is gourmet Pizza.

Todd, I think MRD is only referring to her town. We've got tons of good pizza, and Chinese, 'down here'. My little 2500 person even got a Chinese place this year that is tiny but very good (to go with the Hardee's, Wendy's, 2 truck stops and "brand new" Mc donalds, and one BBQ joint which are all the restaurants we have!)
I have found the Truth and it doesn't make sense.

Greenville has to be the most eatin' out town I've ever seen, but apparantly not for pizza or Chinese food.
But man, you can get some good grits, ham, fatback, biscuits and there are tons of places that have "meat and three". I think I like the sides better than the meat. You can't beat a good crowder pea or some good greens or pickled beats. Creamed corn, butter beans, aw man, I'm making myself hungry.

I love Pizza and Chinese, but I don't think I could live without my Southern Cookin', so I'll take that any day over Chinese and Pizza and just try to have that when I go elsewhere.

What, you don't have a Bojangles too Queenb?
