Add me to the mashed potatoes list. Actually any potatoes that aren't fried are comforting. A creamy potato soup is always good too.

My ultimate comfort food is my Aunt Dory's homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. It's very simple but very steamy and delicious. It's just a broth with chicken chunks and thick, homemade egg noodles. Sometimes I get crazy and throw in some sliced carrots.
One of these days I'll stop being sensitive. Until then, I'll continue to be devastated on a daily basis. Life breaks my heart.

    But, of course.

I should add corn on the cob to my list of comfort foods. It always makes me feel better.

You're the only other person I knew that does that. I might could eat one or two spoonfuls, but after that its just too sweet and rich. I like cooking with it though.

Chicken and dumplings are also a great comfort food.

I had mine last night. Pot roast cooked in the crock pot and mashed potatoes. It was cold out and it warmed us right up. Plus, I love the smell in the house when you cook a roast in the crock pot. Yummy.
