Add me to the grilled cheese list. With Campbell's tomato soup.

    Also mashed potatos.

And when its wet and cold like today, homemade soup of any kind, but usually chicken or beef veggie.

I like homemade mac and cheese too, which we are having tonight.

Superbrat, my husband and daughter make those same quesidillas.

Oh and if I'm sick, I will usually want wonton soup and vanilla ice cream with hersey's syrup. (not at the same time though. )

There's a restaurant near where I work that specializes in comfort food. Before it opened, we were all curious as to what comfort food was. Well, they have the same old stuff on the menu. But they have a really great grilled cheese and tomato soup. Mmm . . . it's what I get every time I go there. It's just awesome!

    Re: Comfort Food

Meatloaf is also one of my comfort foods. With mashed potatos of course!

And Stouffer's had this great creamy chicken casserole that I LOVED and I have been to 5 different stores looking for it and can't find it anymore, so I had to come up with my own recipe. It's kind of sort of similar to tuna noodle casserole but with chicken and a bread crumb topping. But the frozen one was so great when I didnt' feel good and didn't feel like cooking, but needed comforting.

Tuna noodle casserole is also one of my comfort foods.

    And anything chocolate.

Oh, well, who am I kidding. ALL food comforts me.

My dad had a very special name for that.

But he loved it and said it reminded him of being in the Navy. He did say they ate VERY well on his ship even during the war. But I don't think of SOS as eating well as it was never one of my favorites.

I had corned beef hash for breakfast. That is another comforting food for me.

    Re: Comfort Food

My dad used to make it when I was a kid growing up so I've always liked SOS. Corned beef hash is another item we sell at the restaurant and is one of my favorites. I haven't had any of either in quite sometime. Three eggs, corned beef hash, home fries and toast or biscuits for $5.50.
