I used to play that years ago at school when I was in elementary school, but it was an old version. It was so awesome! Can you still cause natural disasters and stuff? I always loved doing that!

The only computer games I play now are The Sims and Roller Coaster Tycoon. Both are excellent!

Funny sher, I didn't have you pegged as a fantasy gamer. I guess we're even more alike than I realized. We'll have to play online some time when you get it.

Check out their website. It's all I expected & more. It's made by the Baldur's Gate people but has kind of a Darkstone look & feel to it. Right off the bat, the character customization it very detailed, down to even hairstyle & tattoos. Make sure you have a super powerful computer as this game requires it. I actually had to go buy a newer one & retire my 3 year old HP. Am I a gaming geek or what?

    John,

The horsepower necessary to run it at top sliders on graphics is indeed impressive. I have learned to tune it down a bit... though my new dual processor P4 is on the way...

Not sure how it came out early. I was in the local mall getting something else when I thought I would stop by Software ETC to see if it was still coming on next week, and there it was on the shelf. It seems that they always get games early.

Oh, and for those who play the Sims, you can import your favorite sim into SimCity 4 and follow their progress through life and neighborhoods.

Bravo, if you were a golfer too, you would qualify as my dream woman. Sim City side by side... now that is a marriage based on the right stuff!

Wow...I haven't played this since Sim City 2000. Like BF, I'm afraid that if I start again, I may not be able to be pulled away from the computer!

i have baldur's gate but haven't heard of darkstone. i loooove the really detailed games!!! is it first person or third person? will i be able to see my character? oh man, i wanted this game before it came out!

and oh yeah, jo. i'm a rpg junkie. i also love mmorpg's, but i get ticked off really quickly when i know it's another real person out there jacking up my gaming experience.

i JUST started Age of Mythology last night... and somewhere i lost six hours time, realizing how long i'd been playing when i got up and saw it was 12:40am! ugh.

sims=addictive. but i've never played sim city.

Gee Bill, you are a golf nut. I would have said "Bravo, if you weren't already married, you would qualify as my dream woman."

Actually, I have to add that I'd have to be single, too. Damn, where is my time-travel machine when I need it?!!!

And Sher, from what I've pieced together from recent threads, I have this image of you playing a rpg, sitting at your computer with high-heeled shoes on your feet!

    Wayner and Bill!

I won't even start in on how football plays into this equation.
"They can only edit what you give them. They cannot manufacture a fictional character out of thin air." (Bill Rancic - 4/04)
Regarding editing reality TV: "You can't edit IN a bad personality." ("Cali"-11/02)

Well, Wayner and I discussed it, but felt it best not to bring up the subject...
