Best of luck. Will you be under general anesthesia or local? Hopefully, the doc will keep you nice and happy with painkillers the first couple of days. :lol Seriously, hope all goes well. :hiyaQuote:

been there - done that -
use pain pills liberally. Wisdom teeth, if I had a gun that damn dr would be hurting too!
had surgery 2 weeks ago to remove hardware from my ankle. :crutch
Yours is probably going to be easier than my puppys today - snip, snip!!!!
yeah, its not going to be local. and i think i am going to get Valium or Perkiset.
however you spell that. But i hope i will be able to stay awake when top model comes on.
I had my wisdom teeth out several years ago, and all 4 were impacted. General anesthesia, no pain pills beyond Tylenol, and in a few days it was like it never happened. Not a big deal at all. The hardest part was not smoking for those first couple of days, because apparently there's something called dry sockets which are supposed to be unbelievably painful. Other than that, it was a piece of cake.
Hoping it goes well for you.
Heck, I was under general anethesia, came home at 2 and won a challenge in the chain reaction game around 4. Never did want to sleep that day.
I had a history of getting sick after general, but they gave me a shot before I left. I think it helped, but who knows. Felt pretty good all day.
ANTM should be fun on painkillers.
I'm sure it'll be a rough few days, but you'll be just fine. I had an infected, impacted wisdom tooth removed in Costa Rica. Once you recover, I'll give you the gory details.Quote:

When I had my wisdom teeth out, I had general and then painkillers. Well, whenever I took a painkiller pill, I threw up. I switched to tylenol and was just fine. Left on vacation to the Smokies the next day.
Oral surgery years ago. Yes, painful the first few days, but smooth sailing since. Only one dry socket in the bunch-double ouch. It was done w/novacaine. I was too scared to go under. Call me a baby!
I had my 4 wisdom teeth pulled and my tubes tied all within 2 weeks last year. It was rough but all is well now. (not as well then)
I also had laser eye surgery in 1997. (LASIK)
