Contact Lens Wearers--help!
I feel like such a loser. I tried contacts once in 1990. The optometrist could not get them into my eye (I was his first failure in 11 years.) I managed to get them in once myself but they felt like cat hairs, so I took them out (at great trouble) and that was that. I've worn glasses ever since.
So now I decide to give it one more try, 14 years later, thinking my blink reflexes are middle-aged now, I'm more relaxed, contact technology is better . . .now is the time. Once again, the optometrist could not get them in, so she had me do it. Half an hour later, the lense had been everywhere BUT in my eye. She sent me home to practice touching my eyeball. :rofl :crying
Am I really the only one who can't do this? I want to go try again, but my eye is so irritated from me trying to hold it open this afternoon that I'm not sure I want to make it any worse now.
Anybody have any helpful advice? How can I get these blasted things into my eyes? Do I need a few margaritas first?
