I like to give back a little sompm-sompm.

Wow...I'd keep listening to that station! Hawaii! That sure beats anything I've gotten

Oh, I should mention that my husband got a free ticket to the Giant's game last night. He was running toward the stadium when the crowd roared and fireworks went off. Barry Bonds hit #700 and he missed it by 60 seconds!

I got a free phone today! (my old cell was like 5 years old - and the guy actually laughed at it. - it wasn't one of those old shoe-box thingies, but you'd think so by his reaction! )

My plan is changing some hoo-hah part of the system, and I just happened to get there in time to get a new phone. It even has internet access! I feel so...so...21st century! Plus they even gave me more minutes. I feel like I won the lottery. Except for that Hawaii thing, that was definitely better than a phone.

I like writing letters to companies, too. I once got a big ole box of hair products from Matrix because I ratted out a salon that was selling their "free" samples. I was pissed when I saw the price tag of $1.99 taped over "Not for retail sale. Free sample only". The nerve! The Matrix people were very appreciative! Hee-hee!! I also wrote Loreal once because the little ballbearing in a bottle of nailpolish busted through the glass and polish went everywhere. I was about 16 at the time, and typed a letter on my old manual typewriter. They sent me all kinds of goodies, replaced the polish, sent topcoat, basecoat, quick-dry, polish remover. I admire companies that'll do business like that.

I won my hubby Tom Petty tickets on the radio once. I was bluffing while we were in the car and they annouced the contest. I picked up his cell phone, dialed, and won!

My best free thing ever was my win at Reno this past May! Woo-hoo! I put my second $20 bill in a quarter machine and won $2,767! Kelly's Big Win!!! I love playing slot machines once in a while, but had never won much more than $100 maybe, so this was amazing!

Rumpshaker, that's great! Nice photo too. Did they make you a member of the special winner's club! I've always had good luck at the Peppermill but never that good!

Good for you, Rumpie, and I agree with applesauce -- that's a great picture of you. And to think, I was thrilled at winning $24 on my very first bet at my very first horse race a few weeks ago.

Thanks guys! The Peppermill is a great casino in Reno! They were so sweet! I keep getting these cards in the mail saying "Come on back!" but I'm holding out for a free room. Guess I'm not "high-roller" enough for 'em. Poop!

I feel stupid. I don't understand horseracing very well, but I'd LOVE to try! (Hey, if Jessica Simpson can play, I can too!)

I decided to bump this thread...

I'm really excited! Just after Christmas, a gentlement that I have done some work for called to see if we wanted a TV...for free! For Christmas he decided to go all out and get the super fancy TV he had wanted. The one he's getting rid of is a 32" Sony...only a year old! Our TV is pretty old and clunky so now we will have a very sleek new TV to watch! A few years ago, this same person gave us a nearly new GE Profile side by side fridge (free) because they decided to get a fancier model. I feel so lucky!

WOW...I love reading these stories and I love freebies!!! Really the only thing I can think of that I won was front row seats to see Michael Bolton/Wynonna in concert. Wynonna was sick that night so it was only Michael...I was disappointed because Wynonna was who I was wanting to see but Michael Bolton put on a pretty good show!
A girl I work with is all the time winning contests on a local radio station (she's won Kenny Chesney concert tickets and other concert tix) but the best thing she won is a year ago she won all expense paid trip for 2 to Sandals Resort in Jamaica!!! Her and her hubbie had never flown before and they were scared to death to fly and she doesn't know how to swim (!!) but they had a great time. I was thrilled to death for her!!!

Nobody has listed the best freebie of all--access to FORT!
