    Wow, Ive found my release!!!
OK I work at a Dr's office in the Medical Records Department. I have complaints just about EVERY day, but I'll start out with just one of my co-workers "Laura"

*When the boss isnt there, she goofs off. Heck when the boss IS there she goofs off. AND the boss knows about it! For some reason, she gets away with it!
*She has violated the HIPPA act by taking patient info out of the building. First of all, why would someone WANT to do this?!?! Its beyond me! Especially if caught, she could get a hefty fine! (btw..we cant prove she has done this, its a he said-she said thing)
*I have to show her every day how to do the same things over and over!!!

Is it true places are wary on firing people due to having to pay unemployment or something? Thats the only reason I can figure as to why this person hasnt been canned yet!

    *breath of relief*
    Thanks for listening people!

    My Dishwasher Update

So I asked my dishwasher today for his daily celebrity update. Yesterday he regaled us with stories of meeting Barbra Eden and Lucille Ball ("the only cute redhead I've ever met ). Todays brush with fame involved "that concert they had when the Princess of Wales died. You know with that guy that plays the piano." Are you talking about Elton John? "Yeah, I got thrown off the stage 'cause they didn't like the way I was dancing." Geez dude wasn't that concert held in England? "Nah, they had 2 of 'em...one here in Ohio, it was in London, OH." London, OH is a farm town about 20 miles outside of Columbus. I swear I almost peed myself. I love my job...sometimes.

Oh, Unk. He must be a superb dishwasher for you to put up with him. That's too much.

This one was as much scary as annoying. The hospital I was working at hired this nurse practitioner to join our group in the newborn intensive care unit. Her job experience was pretty impressive and she seemed like she would fit right in. Of course people are always on their best behavior in their interviews..

She spent some time working along with one of us until she felt ready to be on her own, but after she started working alone there were a lot of mistakes made. For example, she wrote a medication order on the wrong chart so the wrong baby got the drug.. (it was something that didn't cause any harm to the baby) when the mistake was caught and followed up on, she lied about it and tried to blame it on the nurses. It became clear that she would say or do whatever it took to cover her own rear-end.

She made so many mistakes that she was no longer allowed to work alone, so one of us had to be there to supervise her at all times, and that was when the weirdness started.

She had told us that she had 2 children but they both died in a car crash.. supposedly the kids were flown to hospitals in 2 different cities in 2 different states. We all felt so bad for her for having gone through that.. and then during one of her shifts at 2 AM she got a phone call and abruptly said she had to leave, that her brother was in a bad car accident in another state. She walked out and we heard nothing from her for about 2 weeks, we were obviously worried about her but we had no idea where she was or when she was coming back.

When she finally showed up she told us her brother had died. What bad luck she had right?? Well, then about 2 weeks later the same thing happened.. only this time it was her mother, she was in surgery and dying, supposedly in the same city. So she walked out again in the middle of the night and again we heard nothing for 3 weeks. She finally called and said her mother had also died, and then she became ill and was in intensive care, on the respirator, and SHE almost died... it was looking like a pattern with her and we started wondering if any of it had even happened.. she was going through relatives way too fast and we wondered if she was lying about everything. We were told that at that point if she ever did come back she would be terminated, but she never did come back to work, just kind of disappeared.. good thing too, because she turned out to be pretty scary. She got really upset and angry when she had to go back to being supervised and I think she was someone who could have easily walked in someday and gone postal on us. Gives me the creeps just thinking about her.

LMAO @ Unk's story Too good.

Marley, yikes. I'm shocked she didn't repeat any of her relatives, she must have a "Relatives Death Checklist" by her hand so she can check off each relative she's used to make sure she doesn't repeat. I wouldn't be shocked with all her work experience that she must've had used the same type of excuses or some other bad behaviors at work as well.

My Old Hag supervisor is beginning to annoy me real bad. First off, she has real bad breath, even inhaling massive amount of breathmints, it still stinks. Its a mixture of rotten eggs & sweaty armpits. Doesn't help that she sits near me and belches all day long.

But the worst is her memory. She would tell me to do something one minute and the next give me a temper tantrum and demand to know why I was doing it. Then when I explain to her it was her order, she vehemently denies it (Thankfully I had an instruction sheet that proved she had forgotten).

Then she was going through these thick line of credit files from the 70's and 80's. These files waste a lot of space in our file cabinet and she blamed ME for making them. I wasn't even BORN yet!!!!! I was born in 1984, how can I make files when I wasn't even alive?!

Then Saturday stinked as I am not a loan officer and cannot speak about loans, let alone have customers sign loan documents. She sent two loan clients to me on Saturday to sign loan documents and the clients were informed by her that a certified loan specialist would be available :rolleyes I did not feel comfortable doing something that I'm not legally allowed to. If a loss or error were to occur, it would be my ass that gets canned.

Thankfully, my assistant manager was working, BUT even she's not legally allowed to do loan related transactions. But she had the clients signed it and understood my situation. She also informed me that if a problem occured, she would take the heat instead. But she was furious with Old Hag as well and plans to thoroughly give her a slapping on Monday.

Sorry, kinda long, but I just had to vent. Old Hag has really ticked me off lately.

But thankfully she's not an intimidating figure. The entire office doesn't respect her or treat her like she's an officer. In fact, she's almost powerless because no one cares for her. Even the new tellers asked me if her title is below mine.

I may have to use that line sometime.

My annoying co-worker didn't call in sick this week. She showed up an hour late instead because she couldn't find parking. It's Christmastime in downtown, use some freaking common sense. Anyway once she did show up she was better off being replaced by a bag of rocks. She was sent outside the door to give coupons out to passers-by until my boss went to lunch. Then she was supposed to come in and cover the sales floor while I ran the register. Of course this was the perfect time for everyone to come in all at once. I got her to come back inside and cover the floor. She just stood there, like a statue, while about a dozen people browsed the store. We don't have to force conversation with everyone, but it helps to move around to prove you're not a store display. Anyway I rang everyone up and as soon as the store was empty the co-worker went back outside! WTF?

By this time my boss had returned from lunch. She said I should've gotten the co-worker from the outside. I said I did but she wandered back out. I went on my lunch, and I overheard my boss giving co-worker a stern talk.

About an hour later, all three of us were on the floor. My boss told co-worker to dust the top shelves and work the sales floor, while she and I took care of some other stuff. People wandered into the store, and co-worker virtually ignored them. My boss turned to me and asked "What is wrong with her?" I said "I don't know..." I took over the sales floor, and I swear that I saved all those sales. After the store emptied of most customers my boss went up to co-worker and chewed her out.

I know she's only 22, and she may (or may not) be sick, but this was ridiculous.

I wish my boss would just fire her already.
