    Where do you work?

Where does 90% of your life's effort take place currently? This could be, work, school, the home, etc.. whatever.. I know I love talking about my work.. :rolleyes but, you know... I am a curious fellow.. heh

I work at Target... I've probably dropped that in a few threads here and there.. I work as a Cashier by title at this point, but I do sales floor, Food Ave, "Guest" Service, and next up in line for a specialist position which will keep me anchored some place... in the mean time.. I am basically Target's... hrmm... well, lets say, faithful dog... I am prone to work anythign from 8 to 4:30 (relatively normal schedule) to 5 pm until we finish "zoning" (thats picking up the store and makign it look presentable) and this can take anywhere from an hour after closing (at 10 for my store), to closer to 2 am... fun times I swear... But we got to be "fast, fun and friendly"...

Target is really a good place to work though, of retail places, it really is probably the most organized for such a big store, and very Team oriented.. and while we are very peppy to our "guests" aka, customers... we are normal behind the scenes so to speak, and not just smiling heads.. which makes me happy to say the least...

I "work" as a full-time student and part-time lab assistant, though attaching "full-time" to the student title is something of a joke, as I obviously spend most of my study hours surfing websites like the FORT.

I'm currently working at this bath shop. I've been there on and off since 2001. For a retail gig- and I despise retail, BTW- it's actually really good. The hours are decent, the store is small, we get a discount and the staff (there's four of us) is a really tight-knit group.

Someday I'll find a job in the TV industry. That's what I studied in college.

I work at home. I'm a babysitter, which is actually a lot harder than it sounds. I enjoy it, most days.

I work at a RE/MAX real estate... from 10-1 I'm a receptionist at the front, then from 2-5 (sometimes 4), I'm an assistant.

I work in the Federal Courthouse in St. Louis

I work tucked in a corner behind a big black box with strings. In other words, I'm a piano accompanist for a children's choir.

I will soon be working as a 911 police dispatcher... Gotta get through the background checks, which will take a little while, but I'm good to go

    Tigrazhia-that sounds intense. Good Luck!

Ilikai-reading "Federal Courthouse" while looking at your av made me feel very vulnerable. Are you documenting secret info about us FORTers?

sleepy-I've been to your shop. How fun to get a discount on all those goodies.

Jahim-I love Target. I have a Greatland near my home. I am always surprised by how clean and well organized they keep such a busy store. Plus, the service is great!

I work in my studio (renovated garage). I have a small business. I also work in the house having fun with my children.
