My first day at work was a little overwhelming. They don't have a good training program and the woman that I'm taking over for left things in a mess. Good notes and samples of transactions will be the best way for me to succeed. I hope I'm given the time to put the two together. The people I work with are very nice --- BONUS!

I LOVE that! You know it just begins on the lunch break. Pretty soon it's breaks. Then coming in early, leaving late. Sneaking in a post here and there between projects. Next thing you know, you're on an episode of Intervention - sitting next to Pom - who is reading you a touching letter and sending you off with strangers. And the strangers will check your luggage for a laptop and remove your cell phone, just in case. Not a bad thing....I say sneak in as much as you want! We've got your back!

Joeguy, you sweet-talker you. Fortunately I run pretty fast.

Critical - right on! I remember registering for college waiting in line with our class tickets until the prof. signed them off. I'm glad you are movin' on up!

Marybeth - that is great news. Congrats - you know we all have to go through this adventure with you, so share every little thing.

I'm so happy to read all of this good news!

    It makes me wanna

Contratulations Mary Beth! That's wonderful news! Now I'll have to start frequenting the pregnancy thread to check up on your progress!

dberk - the people you work with make all the difference, don't they? I'm sure you'll get everything in order and are feeling at home in no time!

I once read the thread about "You know you're addicted to FORT when..." and it was like excerpts from my biography. I'm a bit of a control freak and it was disconcerting to say the least.

Marybethp - CONGRATULATIONS!!! 12 weeks=3months=1st trimester already out of the way! That is the worst part if you have morning sickness. Now you have the baby kicking to look forward to! And being visibly preggers so people will be nice to you! Have you started picking out names? Hardly anyone has my name anymore. In fact I've never had a student with my name and back in the day it was fairly popular. Dberk - congrats on the new job and Fortability.
    Count your blessings!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes!!

Gut - We've thought about Faith Catherine for a girl or Albert James (AJ) for a boy. Boy is pretty solid (Al is my hubby and James is my deceased brother), but the girl could change.

Congratulations, marybeth and best wishes. Faith is a lovely name. I like Albert for the boy - I don't really come across a lot of Albert's nowadays (maybe I'm hanging out in the wrong places. )

Uh-oh. I'm going to have to start looking over my shoulder for the interventionists, then.

MB- Congrats and please continue to share so that we can be part of the experience throughout.

My grandson got the cast off of his arm! No more excuses to avoid water gun battles.
