beerbelly, I hope you get it! Best of luck!
Good luck! Keep us posted.
Count your blessings!
Thank you! I haven't heard anything - but it has only been a day. I am just lightened by the fact I have hopefully something to look forward to. I know a lot of people out there who have been looking since August.
Thank you friends on FORT!

I had something so nice and unexpected happen to me this week. I took my father to the cardiologist for a stress test. As we waited in a small holding room with a few other patients, we saw a woman my dad recognized, but I did not. She told me that she was named after my grandmother (deceased when I was 7 years old and more like my mom than grandmother). AND my grandmother delivered her at birth. Her parents were neighbors of my grandparents and the doctor was late. (This is when the doctor came to the house to deliver the babies.) My grandmother stepped in, though she was not a midwife.
Isn't that a lovely story! It made my week.
Debb, what a great story! Maybe you can connect with the lady from the waiting room and get more stories about your grandmother?
That is wonderful! I believe that someone is looking after you. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I took it as more than a coincidental meeting. I believe my mama, as I called her, looks over me in many ways.
My mom knows this lady my grandmother delivered, but they had lost contact. I'll try to fix that.
I had heard my mom tell the story of the baby she thought was coming to her house to be her sister, since her mom had delivered her and she was named after her mom. She was so disappointed this little baby had to stay with her own family, but she got to see her grow up as a neigbor. lol
Love it! What a great story, and love what your mom thought!
beerbelly, you haven't mentioned the job here again...was it not good news in the end? Or is it still too soon to tell?
Great story, Debb! It made me smile too!
