AZChristian That sounds like a fantastic trip. Have a great time!
Thanks all. He is absolutely precious and it IS different with a grandchild. PWS, I get to see him every day. They currently all live with us. When they can't get him to go to sleep, he becomes mine. I am now known as "Magic Grandma". :D And now watch, the boy will start talking and call me "Madge" :lol
Poppy, you and your son are in our thoughts and prayers.
Magic Grandma, I love it! Wish I were that close. I get there every two or three months at best, so at his age have to reintroduce myself every time as it were. During the "stranger anxiety" phase I only got to hold him once near the very end. Coming up it will probably be 4 or 5 month break. Sigh.
And very glad to hear "Madge" will be around for a long time to come. :)
I'd like to ask if our members could please keep Poppy Fields and her family in their thoughts and prayers today as her son will be undergoing his bone marrow transplant today.
Absolutely!! I hope everything goes very well.Sending very good vibes!
Thoughts and prayers to Poppy Fields and her son. Very best wishes, too!
We're home. It was a WONDERFUL cruise with lots of great adventures. I haven't dared to get on the scale yet . . . I did, in fact, log in periodically to see who was eliminated from some of the shows I watch most often. It's nice to have friends who understand this "addiction" to reality TV. Thanks for keeping me up to date!

I want to hear about your cruise....share!!
My nephew Chris is an accomplished trumpet player. He earned his Master's degree from the prestigious Juilliard School in NYC and since 2009 has been a member of the acclaimed Canadian Brass quintet. Chris and his fellow Canadian Brass band members have been nominated for a 2012 JUNO award for Classical Album of the Year for their CD Brahms on Brass. The JUNO awards are Canadian awards; judging by the categories I am assuming they are similar to the U.S. Grammy Awards. So excited and happy for Chris and the band. The ceremony is March 26th. I am assuming they are going to be televised if it is anything like the Grammys. Chris was born and raised in NYC and we are all so proud of him!
