Great news, bug! I'll be holding a good thought that those spots disappear!
Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' - Isaac Asimov

I'm so happy to hear your news bug!
I have good news of my own... my two older children each had major job interviews today and each got hired! My son has been living hand-to-mouth teaching swimming lessons and bouncing at a bar (here on the east coast) and he landed a major sales job in CA starting at a larger salary than I make after teaching for 12 years. My daughter has been a pilot for a small airline (here on the east coast) and had reached her ceiling salary-wise. It was a wise choice when the economy collapsed and lots of major airlines were laying pilots off, but she's always wanted to fly bigger planes and now she'll get that chance. She's paying major student loans (flight school is expensive!) and while she'll take an initial salary cut, she'll soon be making much more than she was. And my daughter still in culinary school got a job working at Yellowstone this summer, so all the chicks are flying the coop!
    Count your blessings!

Thanks all! He didn't get the job with the old company. He has 2 interviews today though and he's very optimistic! We'll see how it turns out. Thanks and keep the thoughts going today (10:30 and through this afternoon)!

His positive attitude should shine through, and will land him something. Keep on truckin'!! (Wish we had a smilie where the guy has his finger in the air doing the "trucking" dance!)
