Oh, it's been fair to middling, I suppose. There seems to be very little time for leisure, but work feels like I'm spinning my wheels. What little time that I have for creativity goes to bantering with family via Facebook, and piano. I don't know if I posted this, but to keep on topic (more or less) my last recital was a huge hit with my girlfriend. I spent 8 months secretly learning Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini (Rachmaninoff, dumbed down to late-intermediate level; I am early-intermediate at best) while convincing her that I was working on Beethoven's Fur Elise. It was literally ONE WEEK before the recital that the last tricky part even started to come together, and not until my 10 minutes of practice right before the recital that I could really play it
Bless my teacher's heart, she helped with the deception by putting Fur Elise in the printed program; I announced that Fur Elise was a typo and that it should be the Rachmaninoff piece, the ONLY classical piece my GF admits to liking--she knows it from the movie Somewhere in Time. It's a pretty piece, no doubt, and it gets me out of trouble when she's mad at me. I play it a lot

I just happen to have a sound bite of Newf's performance,
Hey Newf you big stud!
That's precious, Unk! Newf, anytime you want to share, put it on so we can enjoy it with you!
My bank balance kept showing more than I thought I had and I hadn't gotten last month's statement. I went to the bank, found out they were holding it because I hadn't filled out a change of address card, and balanced my checkbook when I got home. I had made 3 huge subtraction errors with the end result being that I have $900 more than I thought. They all happened at the grocery store... I've got to stop chatting with the check-out peeps while I enter my checks.![]()
Count your blessings!
