Ana, that's wonderful, you must be so very proud. Getting a standing ovation for his song?! He must be so good.Originally Posted by Ana Bannana

I'm back from the cancer specialist and I'm not going to die. That's the good news. Also I'm having a lumpectomy and not a mastectomy, so - yea! The bad news it that I'm looking at chemo and radiation, so there goes my one redeeming feature - my long, wavy, auburn hair. I'll be looking for fun wigs. I already have a purple one and a blue Marge Simpson one. It will be a long summer, but at least I won't miss any work. I love to read, so if you have a favorite escape novel, I'm all ears. (won't that be the truth soon?) I'm actually feeling optimistic. You all have been wonderful here. I mean that.
Count your blessings!
Oh Gut, that is great news. I'm so happy for you and your children. Be sure to stock up on the popsicles. I heard that they help you through the chemo. I will continue praying for you, your health, and your children
I can only please one person a day, today is not your day and tomorrow doesn't look good either
Now, see. That's what I'm talking about. Popsicles? I was trying to imagine what I might feel like eating and that wasn't obvious. I sure hope I at least lose some weight out of this. Then I promise to eat right and exercise!
Count your blessings!
I'm so happy for you Gutmutter!
On a superficial note, if you really love your hair, you can shave it off before getting the chemo and turn it into a wig. My hairdresser once told me it was doable. Scarves tied around your head à la Paris and Nicole are also very hot.
Hmmmm. Tell me more. Can anyone do this? Is it a special service? You would think someone as old and weathered as I, wouldn't be so vain.
Count your blessings!
I'm so glad you got good news Gutmutter.
This calls for a toast:
Congrats to you!!!
I know you have a long summer ahead, but we will all be here for ya.![]()
