Congratulations Lil Bit & ScoutMom! That's great news! *** I finished the 52 hours required by the State of California for a Life/Health Ins. license. Will be taking the test ASAP. Hope to pass the first time! My problem area is remembering the taxable/non-taxable stuff. But I'm pounding it into the brain, hoping it will stick. *** Good luck on the new jobs, & best wishes to all!

    Re: Share your good news

Saw the dentist yesterday. His associate is who I originally saw and she made the referral to the oral surgeon and she put the wrong tooth number down, due to teh fact that I do NOT have all my teeth (missing 7 that I never got) and she ignored me when I told her that.
SO, he spent almost an hour and a half with me and my husband (he was afraid we were going to sue) and it was a very good and productive visit and now ALL my dental work that I need that I've been putting off because it's expensive and we have no dental coverage is going to get done. FOR FREE. It amounts to several thousand dollars worth of work. But they admitted it was their fault and they wanted to make it right. And I really do like my dentist. I don't much care for the associate, but when I had the toothache, she was the only one available to see me that day.

And he invited my husband to go fishing with him!

Well, MRD, the fishing part would have been enough for me! Glad you're able to get some satisfaction!

My good news is that I have 1 more section to finish the core quilting, and then I'm able to go for broke with the fanciness! I never thought I'd get to this point! Never again will I do a king-size! Never...never....never....unle ss my youngest really wants one when (and if) he gets married.

MRD - I'm so glad to hear that you're getting this problem resolved without having to go through the hassle of hiring a lawyer. I'm sure once they figured out it was their fault they knew they didn't have much of a choice.
When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "Happy." They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life. - John Lennon

Great news, MRD. Especially great because you didn't have to fight to get things done.
