| Re: Share your good news They outfitted me with a cane today for longer distances in the house. We're weaning me off of using the walker and I'm so glad!! The only thing is I can't carry anything in a basket with my cane like I can the walker . |

| Re: Share your good news I hear ya, angel. When I was on crutches last spring, I carried a light tote to put things in. It had longish straps to go on my shoulder. I still don't go down stairs easily.

| Re: Share your good news I'm discovering that I need some sort of back pack right now. Because they've essentially told me to use my cane (because today I got 51/56 on my balance test for what type of aid I'd need) and it said I shouldn't need any. But since my strength/muscles aren't quite there yet, I'm using a cane. Except, I can't carry everything anymore! |

| Re: Share your good news I had clinic today where they discussed my progress and... drumroll please.. I get to go home tomorrow morning as an outpatient!! That means I'll come about twice a week for physical therapy, but that everything else will be at home! I can sleep in my own bed, eat my own food, make what I want, when I want, and just do all the things for "normalization" again. I'm so excited. It's been a long haul since June 7th. I'm only using my cane for walking distances. In the house I'm not using anything. I'm just so happy that I get to go home for good!!! |
