Happy Anniversary, Shaybo II! I think it's great that you get to celebrate with fireworks every year! And isn't that nice when we find out how much we can affect people?

Re: Share your good news

Congrats on the new jobs/holidays/anniversaries everyone! And I am also waiting on picture updates of Unk's grandson....a recent fishing one would be nice!

I'm interviewing for my dream job this Friday--full time lecturer for first year engineering courses. The only downside is that I can't commit to the full-time hours because I'm already committed to teach a 4th year class and I'm trying to write my thesis so I can defend by next spring. But over the past year or so I've realized that I really love teaching....and I don't really want the research, publishing or administrative responsibilities that go along with a professor position (yet). But they've indicated that a part-time appointment might be available, so here's hoping!

I hope it all works out the best for you, spoose. I absolutely hate interviewing for jobs and then waiting . . . waiting . . . waiting . . .

Re: Share your good news

Well today I had to get an MRI because my doctor said I might have this disease related to the nervous system (she actually never said the words "nervous system" but she had me see a neurology doctor, so yeah ). She (nor the neurology doctor) told me what disease I might have because they didn't want me to worry over nothing, so I can't say which disease it was.

Well anyway, after getting my brain scanned for what felt like an hour, the man told me that I didn't have anything wrong with me, so that was good. He also said that I have "years on me", meaning I'm looking very healthy.

I'm still pretty young (still in high school), so it would have been very hard on me if it turned out that I actually had the disease.
