One of my office computers is an old dinosaur running windows 98, but it is the only one that runs a couple of software applications that I like. It shot craps the other day, causing great wailing and gnashing of teeth In a blind-luck shot of technological ignorance, I guessed that the power supply had gone bad. Best Buy wanted about $80 for their low-end power supply, but I found something equivalent online for $25 plus shipping. It came today, and I was able to do a remove-and-replace in about 10 minutes. The dinosaur roared to life, and I've been strutting around like Bill Gates. It was a true chest-thumping moment

I'm picturing you doing like Tim the Toolman and going "arg, arg, arg".

I've been feeling kind of that way today since finding a bargain at the Army/Navy store. That or all the testosterone from being around all that military and hunting and work clothes stuff has rubbed off on me this morning.

That is not a correct image. More like a silverback who chased away a younger, lesser rival. But less grunting.

Yeah, I guess I'm feeling more like someone who's bagged their first deer this morning. Hunting down those bargains and bringing home the "trophy" is a great feeling!

You two are too funny-I'm imagining both of you running into each other and hitting at the chestal (I love that word) area and bouncing back-that congratulatory gesture that we all love!!

I'm so happy good things are happening to everyone!

My good news is that I'm home from work and I don't have to go back until January 3rd!!! It sounds like it's so far away, but unfortunately, it will probably be here before I know it. But Wow! Almost two weeks off - I've never been off this long before - except when my son was born. Yippee!!!
