I finally have some good news to give: I don't have ovarian cancer. I have a few other tests to go through, but it is not ovarian cancer! I'm melting with thankfulness!

Gut - That's great news. I hope you get the estrogen straightened out.

Famita - What a relief! I'm so happy you got good news. Good luck with the future testing.

Gut--I've been estrogen free since I was around 40......it takes some getting used to but you will

    Fatima----Wow great news

Thank God, famita. I'm really tearing up here for you. What a bullet to dodge. That particular brand of cancer has a high reoccurence rate. I think of myself as having assimilated the whole cancer experience pretty well, but on ANTM one of the models was cracking up because she had to do a shoot made up like someone losing their hair to chemo... it looked just like I did when I lost my hair and she thought it was hysterically funny. I wanted to reach through the screen and smack her face. I still haven't started the pill of doom. Maybe this weekend.
    Count your blessings!

It really amazes me that in this day and age that people are sooo ignorant. Don't they realize that they could be the next victim? Or survivor? Or the next person who gets to sport the "bald" look?
Thanks for all the good wishes. I have another fun test next week so will continue to be optimistic.

famita, I know how relieved you are to hear "it's not cancer"! I had a scare over the summer too, and while it was really serious, the no cancer verdict made me want to do flips. (i'm finally infection free, incidentally, and will be getting some shots to start working on the low back pain, even though it's nothing like what I had earlier!)
I have found the Truth and it doesn't make sense.
