I'm very excited our only grandaughter is coming to visit tomorrow. The only girl out of 9 grandchildren. They just moved out from NYC to Berkely the first of this month and I have been biting at the bit to see her. She's almost 20 mo old. I'd post a pic, but my PC is down.....anyway I'm running around my house trying to toddler proof it.....what a job......a happy job..

Too bad you saw only one weasel on this trip, queenb. If you came back up here to Boston again this year you could have seen a ton of them -- most of 'em are wearing Patriots uniforms these days!!!

I can't wait to see your photos and I've been thinking of you all day, just beaming over the fact that you went out and had yourself another wonderful trip.

I am laughing at this as I just told my husband that the team I like least is the Patriots. He doesn't care for the Eagles.

I may have to get rid of Waldo. We noticed him watching the Florida/Tennessee game but only when they showed Smokey, the TN mascot. If he's a tennessee fan, I may have to send him to Unk.

Our good news is that my husband should FINALLY get the clutch in his truck today. He's been working on it 3 days. Should have been easy, but of course, it was NOT. Now I can have my car back.

Congrats to everyone on their good news!

My neighbor gave me his Mitsubishi 36" tv free! It's too big and heavy for them to move it with them and they have 3 plasma tv's already. What could I say?

It barely fit into the house and is way too big for the den. I don't have cable (can you believe it?) so I'm trying out rabbit ears and can get a few stations. I dont' need to put lights on in the den; the tv screen lights up not only the room, but part of the backyard too!

Good for you, misskitty! I'm thinking I'll finally upgrade from my old 27 inch this Spring, so for now I'm jealous. (By the way, I'm glad you've had a fun summer and are back now)

To those of you who have wondered if I'm older that dirt, probably so. I'm going to be a GREATgrandmother next month. My granddaughter and her husband are expecting a little boy. I will still be in my sixties when he's born so maybe I'll see him grown, who knows?

LOL - Smokey bit an Auburn coach a few years ago. And "UGA" the University of Georgia's mascot bulldog has bitten several members of Alabama and Auburn's teams. Our dachshund, Henry, HATES bulldogs (sorry to the bulldog owners out there). Henry growls and tries to attack the bulldogs that he sees when we take him for walks, the bulldogs that he sees at the vet and the televised bulldogs (especially UGA!)
