My good news - My new wood floors went in yesterday, and they're absolutely beautiful. I can't get over the difference. Of course, my whole house in still torn apart, but oh well, it's worth it.

Gut! I remember when you first were going for tests! Quite the milestone and I am so happy for you!

Wow! I wasn't expecting such a reaction to my news! You guys have been my foundation through it all. gabriel - the day I came here after my diagnosis and everyone had pink ribbons, I cried like a baby. That was so cathartic and a necessary milestone according to my oncologist. The "smart chemo" I've been having for the last year will greatly increase the odds that it will never come back. *knocks on wood anyway* Thanks again everyone for all the prayers along the way.

katgib: The lake is a community one with private beaches for some huge houses, but they have a nice members side with a fishing dock, sand, swimming area, canoes, and paddleboats to rent!

Scoutmom: What kind of hardwood floors did you put in? What wood and color? I'm so glad you love it!

misskitty - The brand is Bruce, and the color is Spice. The wood itself is oak. It's a lighter shade with just a slightly reddish hue. I can't wait to get home from work and look at my floor!!!

But of course one thing led to another. When we moved the furniture, I realized how dusty the heater vent thingies were, so I vacuumed all of them. Then I looked at the curtains and realized how dusty looking they were, so I took them down and washed them. Then without the curtains, I realized how dirty the windows were, so then I washed them! I had to come back to work to get some rest!

Congratulations, everyone who I just missed (what an exciting day here!) on your good news!!!

katgib - You are every bit as beautiful as I imagined.

Some of you have heard my good news because it was "trouble" last night. Our tiniest kitty was in a freak barstool accident and it looked really bad for him. But he's OKAY!!!!!

We'll be bringing him home in a few hours. I can't even begin to describe my relief.

Thanks again to the thoughts and prayers of my fellow FORTers. You really made a difference.

That sounds lovely! I'm going to pass that on to my older sister. They are thinking of putting some hardwood and have had trouble deciding! I have red oak in my house. Original wood. I love hardwood!

My good news is that I'm going home tonight! I miss my kitties and my little home.

But my good news is also that I had a super time here with my sweetie. Yesterday was my 31st bodypainting class with the most incredible lady, Lucie, who taught me so very much. She just won 3rd in the World's Bodypainting in Austria and 2nd in the World's Facepainting competitions! I got to paint a wonderful model and everyone absolutely loved my design when it was done! I was so happy! Sweetie said I have improved my painting skills immensely since I started. I feel more confident now! I have no idea where this is headed but it's always a challenge and a lot of fun.

We celebrated by having a few drinky-poos! Boy, did I ever have a big headache this morning!
