myrosiedog, I'm so happy your husband found a job. It's nice when something in common with an employer can land you a job. Maybe he'll even like it and can climb up the ladder there.
As for applying for disability, I know you don't want to because maybe it would make you feel a certain way but I say maybe give it a try. It's there for a reason and although people abuse the system (my sister) there are others who need it (my mother). And sometimes you can still hold a part-time job. It doesn't hurt to check into it. If you find it's not for you then no harm done. Of course the payout differs from state to state and I don't know if your husband's income would count against the amount. Maybe you could find out if you could be on it for a limited time and if you are able to work in the future you could drop it.
So happy that your hubby got that job.Originally Posted by myrosiedog;2199882;
You Gators did a fine job last night. OSU was out coached, out played, and out classed. CONGRATULATIONS!![]()
I am really sorry that you are having flare ups. You really should look into diability...even on a temporary basis, the $$ might be helpful.
So happy for you and your husband, Rosie - I hope this will reduce some of the stress you've been feeling, which should go a long way toward getting you feeling good again!

I'm glad your hubby found a job, myrosiedog. Sorry you're not feeling well.
MRD, Great News!!! I bet he's on cloud nine for working!! You might want to check into the temp disability-it can't hurt!!
Good news on the job myrosiedog! You keep taking care of yourself, and if the Dr. thinks you should apply for disability - why not? You've worked many years while others have schluffed off.Originally Posted by myrosiedog;2199882;

Congratulations dear rosiedog! I'm sure that's a huge relief. You might look into the disability stuff and see what that would entail. Even if you only do it temporarily, you could then focus on your daughter's schooling.
Count your blessings!
That is very good news myrosiedog.![]()
Congratulations myrosiedog to your Hubby on the new job! That's great!
Also yeah for your gators! I know how bad you wanted them to win.
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well at all. Give the disability thing a try. If your doctor backs you up, the hard part is already over. Keep us posted.

My good news is that we are experiencing a horrible Blizzard! And I'm not talking about Dairy Queen! It's -34C with windchill and the roads are disasterous. Black ice, blowing snow, whiteouts on the highways, collisions, abandoned cars, you name it. So my sweetie HAS to stay tomorrow and can't drive home because the highways are in poor conditions with poor visibility and people are advised not to drive is possible. WOO HOO! I don't know how we will manage:![]()
