She is due early November. She is actually 12 weeks today. The doctor thinks she will have them in October though.

Congrats yardgnome on finding out you'll be an aunt!

My good news - I graduated college today and my goal was to do it before I turned 40 so I accomplished that and have a year to spare!

Now it's time to decide: graduate school or not. Right now, I just want a break!

Congrats Yardgnome and ACF! We had another successful (4th annual) Multicultural Festival at our middleschool. It is mainly one other staff member and myself who organize it with different people every year pitching in. I was worried it wouldn't happen this year because of all my cancer treatments, so I spoke up at a staff meeting back when I was bald and got more staff involved this year. It is a school event, so I don't know why more don't pitch in. Anyway - we had a Japanese drumming group in the main venue with 40 tables representing different countries and a LOT of food to sample. In the performing venue we had the school chorus, Irish step dancers, a ragtime pianist, Scottish bagpiper, and Native American drummers/chanters. Lots of community there. I was bushed on Friday. We have to move 45 tables in and back out at the end of the night and scores of folding chairs.
    Count your blessings!

Congrats, ACF! Since you beat your goal by a year, we decree you can take a year off!
Gutmutter---gotta love the use of guilt! Talk about make lemonade out of lemons! Maybe now that more have tried it you can get them to stay involved next year.

I got a job!!! I've been temping since last December and finally found the almost perfect job. The only complaint I have is the benefits but hey you can't have it all right? Especially when the job market right now is fierce! But I love the job and the people and I'm so excited!
