Watch out for those I-talians. I understand that they like to pinch.

Now we will have to make random posts mentioning your name to verify that you've read EVERYTHING here when you get back.

    Have a great trip!

It is a return visit. My father is Italian and my uncles still live there. It will be my first time with my hubby (also from Italian parents) and son. I will be visiting, but not as much as I was hoping for since it is a little harder with a seven month old and I also want to spend time with our families. In the past I have seen Rome, Venice and Florence (and a couple of other cities). This time we will make time for Sicily, where my husband's aunt still lives. We'll visit the hometown, Palermo and Agrigento (ruins). I will go back to Rome and I'd love to visit the Amalfi Coast (towns perched on a mountain with the beautiful sea at the bottom.

DesertRose, I've always wanted to go to Italy ! I think it's very cool that your husband's aunt will be there too. I'd mostly like to see Rome and Florence, for the old ruins and art. Venice looks ok too, even though I can't help remembering my Grandmother saying the canals were terribly trashy and stunk like garbage--but that was in the 60's so maybe they have cleaned it up a bit?
My 'good news" is that I'm outta here for a week beginning tomorrow! I met new friends last year in Alaska who I've continued to swap emails with for the past 10 months, and they have generously invited me to come back up and spend some days fishing on their boat in Prince William Sound...I couldn't turn it down. We also plan to get on one of those teeny little float planes and fly across to an uninhabited area where you can watch the bears fishing, like you see on the Discovery channel...looks like a big adventure to me! I can't wait!

It's official! I got the job. There is a base pay and incentive pay. It should equal around $2 an hour raise!

Good news! Sheesh I remember my first full time job in 1975 paid me 2.50 and hour. Minimum back then was 2.20 Hr and I got 30 cents more because I was a supervisor.

    Best O'luck to you Dagwood!
