I've found that people always panic over the length of the needle when it's the gauge (thickness, I guess) of the needle that causes the discomfort.

You are right, it is the gauge, not the length.

I am so used to needles that I don't see the big deal, but I guess it is a legitimate fear.

Personally a shot is over quickly and is done. Bee stings have hurt me a LOT more than shots or having blood drawn.

This isn't really my trouble, it was just so sad. A friend of my oldest daughter from high school was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend last Friday. It was just such a shock to hear about it. I remember Brenda playing softball when we coached the team and she would do anything for you if she considered you a friend and even if you weren't. I just wanted to remember her and say rest in peace Brenda, you will be greatly missed.

    Re: Talk about your troubles

People are losing their minds here lately. We had a mother stab both of her daughters (8 and 9) to death and then shoot herself in the head. Her husband had hung himself 3 years ago. I'm not sure that economics is not playing, at least, a part in all of this lunacy and desperation.

These are troubled times we are living in right now.

Well the pharmaceutical companies should be happy. They'll more than likely see a surge in the anti-depressant sales go up as things continue to stay troubled.

It is a crazy and messed up world we're living in right now.

I'm so sad to hear about all these horrible things happening. I don't know what's going on in the world any more.

Gracie that is so awful. Sending hugs to your daughter, you and your daughters friends parents.
