Thanks Buglover. Me too. Ah well, that's life. Always an obstacle. I'm getting pretty good at going through the obstacle course though. (still should be some kind of prize if you make it over all t he obstacles. Like a new car or a trip to Hawaii.

    Re: Talk about your troubles

Just found out this morning that I have arthritis in my hip. Definitely haven't been able to move my leg much lately, and went to be sure it wasn't something worse.
so, gotta lose this awful weight I am carrying around, and start stretching it (was not until I knew what it was). Mostly the weight.

really bad lately because we have a motorcycle and I ride on the back, but lately it has been too painful to get my legs around DH butt (and his isn't even that big). Well, off to go read up on it and see what the best things to do are.

Oh schmoo2 that doesn't sound like fun. My DH has arthritis in his knees and if he loses even 6 pounds, it feels a little better. The problem is he cannot walk around for long periods of time or it is so painful he cannot sleep. Good luck!

    Re: Talk about your troubles

Schmoo, I'm sorry to hear that. I have it in my hips and knees. Why I don't sit on the floor, hurts too bad and I can't get up.

But try some glucosomine. My husband has been taking that as he has it really bad in some old injuries and he says he can see an improvement. I have no idea which kind he's taking, but I can go look. (I haven't been taking it. Maybe I should).

    Hope you feel better soon.

sucks gettin older. I swear after 40 it's all painful and all downhill.

    Re: Talk about your troubles

I was very distressed to hear this morning that a former classmate and long time friend passed away from complications from diabetes. We have known each other since we were in first grade. We had lost touch over the last few years, but we went all through school together, from first grade through HS graduation, rode the same bus for 5 years, he lived down the street from me when we were growing up, attended the same church, so were in Sunday School, Choir, Youth Group and all that together as well. He was 46 years old.

But interestingly enough, because of this, I have re-connected with 3 other old friends that I had lost touch with and got to visit by phone with all 3 this morning.
So in a way, it was like he brought us all back together again.
