I really believe home made chicken soup has great healing powers. Really - when my family is down with illness, I make a big pot of chicken soup and it seems like they feel better so much faster.Originally Posted by Gutmutter;3030598;

buglover, thanks for asking. As I say around here, things are going. I take each day at a time, relish the fun memories, laugh at the silly ones, and cry at the sad ones. I try to keep a positive spin on everything. And it helps that my oldest son's wedding went without a hitch. I'm to the point that "someone else has it worse than I do", and I'm sticking to that!
It's a good place to be famita. When we realize that there are people who are going through things so much worse than us, it does make us a little more thankful for what we have. PM me if you ever need to vent famita. I've been through alot in my 34 years and can relate.
Yup, with donuts!!
Well, I always make a big pot of chicken soup when someone is sick, but now it's me and making it is beyond my limited scope right now. I can pour something in a glass and I can stick something in the microwave and beyond that, I am wiped out.Originally Posted by Ana Bannana;3030608;
Just took little Rosie to the dr. and she has bronchitis on top of the sprained foot and sinus stuff.
Like I said before, the entire family is going to hell in a handbasket.

mrd, I hope your WHOLE family feels better soon. I've missed a lot on FORT
I'm so sorry to hear of everyone's troubles. I hope that those of you who are not feeling well, will feel much better soon. And those of you who are struggling with loss and frustration can find your way back to happier times.
I just heard from a longtime friend that his mother passed after an unsuccessful fight with cancer. The funeral is tomorrow but I couldn't find a posting. It might just be a private affair.
I'm so glad that I have both my parents and they are alive and well.I'm counting my blessings today.

Keep your friend and his family in your thoughts misskitty. They will know you are there in spirit.
I have an earache with a knot in my throat. It's better today than yesterday but I fear I will need to visit the doctor for some anti-biotics. I hate taking them!! I've used a good decongestant and it has helped with the ear and advil is helping with the throat. It's hard because I woke up in the middle of the night when the advil wore off and had to take 2 more at 3am in order to get back to sleep 30 minutes later. There are people in the office with possible strep and haven't gone to a doctor! Arghhh...
Yup, with donuts!!
I'm sorry to hear about your friend misskitty.
buglover, I hope you feel better soon.
I broke down and started taking Cipro for my infection. I'm hoping it begins to work soon because I had yet another sleepless night and I feel like poopy!! I thin I got about 2 hours of sleep so I'm a wee bit cranky!!![]()
Yup, with donuts!!
Miss Kitty, I'm sorry to hear about your friends mom.
Bug get better soon.
We're all still fighting this stuff. hubby has it (but has spared me the sick man syndrome as he's still out of town), I still have it, daughter has it and now daughter's boyfriend.
I really wish these dogs would earn their keep and throw in a load of laundry or empty the dishwasher or cook a meal or too dammit! It would help us out immensely.
