My aunt just found out her best friend just passed away. She died in her condo and the family didn't know for a couple of days. She was only 67. I called my aunt today and she's just so very sad. She feels she has no-one in the world to talk to now. They aren't sure yet what the cause of death was, although it doesn't really matter.

That is so sad-I'm sorry for your aunt's loss. Do they know anymore of how/why she died?

MissKitty, my condolences to your aunt. It seems to be harder when someone has died by themselves. I hope your aunt doesn't get as lonely as she's afraid she will be.

Thank you everyone. We had a long talk and good cry on the phone yesterday. I guess I was the only one in the family to call her. I bought a really nice card today I'll send too. I was going to go over yesterday to give her a hug, but my car froze in the garage and I couldn't get it going until today.

January is a very bad month for us. My Gigi died this month years ago, and in a few days, it will be the first anniversary of my Baba's death. (These are my aunt's parents. )

It's times like these that you really appreciate your friends and family, as time certainly rushes by when you don't expect it.
