pwettybird - Good to read that your Grandmother is back home, and your Aunt and family are in my thoughts.
    - The Dean Martin Show -

Petula Clark: You know they say you can't buy happiness.
Dean Martin: No but you can pour it..

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It means the most to me, I have more troubles in my life, don't really know how to explain it. It has to deal with a friend of mine thinking I've said bad things about her and now she won't respond to me and tell me what I did. It hurts because I've been there for her in the toughest times and this is what I get, my heart is breaking...I don't know how much more bad news I can handle right now...

I think your friend may not be as good a friend as you thought she was. Give her time to let you know. There's no reason why you have to chase her down to apologize when you haven't done anything wrong. If you'd like, extend one more olive branch and wait for her to come to you. If this is how she responds to you saying bad things about her (in her mind anyhow!), she seems like an arse. Sorry, I'm just sick of little jerks like her playing mind games with nice people like you...

And on the off chance that you did accidentally say something about her, just apologize and leave it up to her to forgive and forget.

We all make mistakes. Someone who can't forgive a friend for making a mistake isn't a good friend...

Hear, Hear! That's great advice for us all, Lois!

pwettybird: I'm sorry to hear your dear Auntie is not doing well. Prayers and blessings are on their way. I'm very glad to hear that your Grandmother is better as well! Hang in there!

This isn't a major thing, but my seatbelt on the driver's side broke. The clip won't fasten into the holder part. The car dealership can't fix it or order a new one because my car is so old. I have to go rooting through car part yards. Not. So I've bought two big steel ring hooks and attached them to each other and to my emergency brake. I have to clip in and clip out all the time, but at least I won't go flying out the window if I get hit by another vehicle.

That doesn't sound very safe. Don't you have a trusted mechanic you could go to and see if it can be repaired?

I don't know where you live, but that would be illegal here. Find someone who can fix it. I went to my dealership last week to have something fixed and asked about the rear window defroster wires that were only half working. He suggested I commit insurance fraud - throw a rock through the window and say it was vandals. I'm going to report him when I get my feedback letter in the mail. Oh, and the next morning none of them were working. He did something.
    Count your blessings!

    Re: Talk about your troubles

Update on my friend with the brain tumor:

I really, really don't know what to put here tonight.

I spent almost 2 hours with Sean tonight. About 30 mins of those I was by myself and able to tell him how much I loved him and that I would do anything to make his pain go away. His sister, my best friend, eventually came by with her husband and she started sobbing when she saw me in the room.

Since only two can be there at a time her hubby left so I could have some more time with Sean and it was the saddest hour that I have ever experienced. While I was actually with Sean by myself they had gotten the news that he was brain dead and tonight they are deciding what to do.

I would imagine next week will be his memorial service.

Just to see him there unable to breath without the intubation tube was heart breaking enough. To see his sister go through every range of emotion and just loosing control and sobbing was just more than I could take.

If Sean is still alive on Saturday I am going to see him again, but I did give him one last kiss goodbye in case they take him off life support tomorrow.

JLuvs, I am SO sorry to hear about your friend, Him and his family will be in my prayers as you will too.
Just knowing that he will be in a better place and remembering all the memories that you two have together, will bring a smile to your face
