    Re: Talk about your troubles

Oh, caffeine. A big vice of mine. I've never understood how other drugs are illegal but this one is given to our children. When I was pregnant with my first I cut out everything bad and I felt terrible. After three months of awful, morning sickness and withdrawal, I told my obgyn that I was in a mess. He asked me about my previous habits and told me it was okay to drink a coke. So that night we went to a chinese buffet and I had a coke. I immediately felt better. And not just psychosomatic better. BETTER. The headaches I get with no caffeine are terrible. I am not a big coffee drinker so I never thought it was a big deal. Those cokes add up though. Now I don't drink as much as I used to, but one day without a bit of caffeine and I'm sick. I've tried the weaning thing but I never, ever feel better. I'm sure if I stick with it long enough I will eventually not need it anymore (three months is a long time though). Dang it physically addictive. And socially acceptable. It's hard to understand why caffeine is legal but other drugs are not.
One of these days I'll stop being sensitive. Until then, I'll continue to be devastated on a daily basis. Life breaks my heart.

Well my cat Critter isn't doing so great she's hasn't been eating alot lately and some how she hurt her right front paw because she's been favoring it, and my hubby is calling the vet to get an appointment for her. We both think she might have an infection because there's an odor emanating from the wound site. Why didn't we see it before? If I had played closer attention then she'd be fine.
On top of that it's raining out so it's making me feel even more depressed.

Shaybo - Good to read tht Critter is doing better. keep us posted

    Re: Talk about your troubles

    Hi all,
Hubby and I have some sad news Critter died Saturday September, 29th
2007. She came into our lives a year and a half ago when hubby and I found her in the back yard of the place we were renting. She gave birth to her four kittens in the garage, and fought off a racoon which killed her fourth kitten. After that she and her three kittens was moved into our house and our lives.

Hubby fed her water with vitamin supplaments, cats milk, and the Amoxicillian that the vet perscribed to her to fight off the infection, but she didn't want it and so we made the decision(Me, hubby, and Critter.) to stop feeding her. Then on Friday evening we all went to bed in our bed room and on Saturday she took her last breath.

Her kids are looking for her and crying out for her, and they've been sticking to us like glue. Hubby and I will miss her very much. She gave us not just her kids, but her love. Hubby has some pictures of her and once he puts them in my computer I'll share them with you.

Thanks to all for your support.

Shaybo - please know that I am thinking of you and your husband at this awful time. Joey will get a hug tonight and Mona, along with so many others has greeted Critter at the Rainbow Bridge, where she is free with no pain.
