    Stargazer, I had the same thing a while back, and my doctor(who is part of MUSC, a nationally recognized teaching medical university) told me that cancer doesn't hurt usually, ie., if you have pain, it is almost always benign! And mine turned out to a cyst that just had to be "aspirated"- A little needle stuck in to "deflate" the cyst, with a small piece to be biopsied. And just like she said, no cancer! I am sending well wishes your way, and hope you have the same simple outcome!
