I am so very, very sorry. The same thing happened to my son's second grade teacher. I have no idea how one gets over this. God bless your family.

I'm so sorry for your pain. As a grandma, I can't imagine losing a grandchild. May God wrap His arms around all of you right now, and may you feel His peace.

Oh I am so sorry. I know what this is like and it hurts so badly, and our children hurt, and there is nothing we can do. Gentle hugs from me, and good thoughts to your son and daughter in law

CantGetNuf, oh my gosh what an extreme emotional ride you and your family have been on. It is something that I know happens and while it has never happened to me, I can't bear the idea of what you have gone through. I can tell it helps for you to write out the experience. And you are right, all of us here can take a little bit of that grief away and replace it with kind words. I hope it helps you. It is great that your friends have been there to help you all get through this both emotionally and financially. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

I'm sorry for your loss. Come here as often as you need. You'll find support and love here. My kids scoff at the idea, but my FORT friends have been here for me in my times of trouble.

CantGetNuf, I was so saddened to read of your family's experience. I can't imagine your pain. I'm glad you gave the update on how things were going. It sounds like a lot of your friends really responded to your request. It's a lot to deal with at such an emotional time. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

    Re: Talk about your troubles

I'm so sorry, CantGetNuf. I couldn't imagine the devastating pain a family goes through when they lose a little life they were expecting before it could even begin. My heart goes out to you and your family.

A good friend of mine lost her sister to cancer this weekend. She's been battling it for three years so her family knew her time was coming and have made an effort to spend as much time with her as possible but it's still hard to lose someone so close to you. Her sister's name was Sharon so myself and a few of other ladies are talking about getting a rose of sharon plant for our friend. I need to find out if our local nurseries have them, what they cost, what varieties they have, if they need any special care, etc. I think it would be a touching and appropriate tribute to give our friend in memory of her sister.

Sounds very sweet and thoughtful. Hope it's doable,
