    Anyone Heard of "Scented" CDs?

I was at a party yesterday and I overheard someone talking about scented CDs. Something about 8 - 10 tracks on the CD with different scents on each track. I wasn't able to ask this person where she purchased this CD so I was wondering if anyone here has heard about this, and if so, where can it be purchased?

    Thanks.

I too have heard about them and were interested in them. I found them at epinions.com made by Febreze, here is the link: http://www.epinions.com/Febreze_Scen...~latest_prices

Here is another site that has it: http://www.gizmodo.com/archives/febr...ies-020762.php

Here is the official site: http://www.scentstories.com/index.php?flash

Here is a picture of the player:

    Hope this helps!

They have scented CDs now? So you just pop in the CD, and the player turns the data on the CDs into scents stored on the player? I don't get it...

And sorry to say this, but the idea of scented CDs sounds laughable to me.
    Gustav Holst was right!

Thanks AI. I'll check it out. I didn't know a "special" player was required.

I saw the ad for it on tv last night. The cd rotates and every 30 minutes it changes scents. And yeah, you need a special player for it. It's not an actual cd - like the ones we are used to (musical). I'd rather use scented candles, but that's just me.

So... if it can't play regular CDs, and the scented CDs do not have music (from what I gather) what's the point?

I'm with JD. I prefer scented candles.

that's funny - sleepy - I think I actually said that out loud when I saw it, "what's the point?" They don't let you in on the "catch" until the end: it doesn't play music. Wha?

I prefer candles as well, but my vision has gotten to the point when I am unable to see a flame, where the wick is, yada yada yada. I thought this would be a nice alternative. I KNEW it didn't play music, that wasn't the point. I wanted something "safe" for aromatherapy.

Hey Jewelsy, how about using one of those candle warmers? You know, you set the candle on a base that is plugged into the wall, and it warms the wax releasing the aroma that way. No wicks, no fire!! That might work out better for you.

ETA: You'd have to use jar candles, though.
