One question Paulie: what color is THIS?

    Sorry man, couldn't help myself.

In all seriousness Paulie, I'm thrilled for you. I know how much you've been looking (no pun intended) forward to this, and I know it took some intestinal FORTitude (okay, pun intended that time) to go through the whole thing. I'm looking forward to seeing the new you, Bald Eyes!

(For those of you that missed it elsewhere, Paulie's 5 year old daughter called him Bald Eyes after his LASIK. )

Wow... Didn't know you wore glasses! I wear reading glasses, myself, but I lose and break them so often that I'm talking with a few doctors

(I can read music without them, but not scores [The 50 parts merged onto one page with the notes smaller than the period at the end of the sentance.] so it kills me, but I can usually find a spare clarinet or Alto part and go based on that)

Agent, I should wear glasses but I use them only while driving (too darn hard to read the signs otherwise ), TV, and when going to the movies, b/c I really hate wearing them. Having 20/20 all the time would be wonderful!

Try 20/15 all the time, Modesty, after you've been bat-blind all your life.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

    I know, Paulie, I shouldn't complain
Is 20/15 what you will have, or will it change?

My eyes are just good enough where I don't need corrective lenses for driving, so I don't wear them at all.

I have slight night-blindness though, so I probably SHOULD wear glasses at night while driving, but oh well

It might change, I guess, Modesty. I don't know for sure. But they said it usually improves after the first couple of days. If it stays at 20/15, though, I'll be very happy.

Hi Paulie - I posted on the other thread about my LASIK experience while you were "under the knife".

It's been 11 months since my surgery and everything is great. My night vision did deteriorate slightly over the year, so I need glasses for driving and sometimes watching TV (only at night). Meh, I can live with that.

Isn't it great to be able to wake up and see the clock?
And to be walk past the contact solutions at the drug store?
And to read which bottle is the shampoo in the shower?

You know, I think about the title of this thread, and feel that we should keep it open permanently, as we will need daily updates to ensure that Paulie is indeed alive and well...
