    John-

I picked up the PNY Attache 1.1 Flash Drive. I only got the 64 meg, but this thing is way to cool. No software, no nothing. Thanks for mentioning the product. These things are really nice. I also bought a new computer and it doesn't come with a floppy drive, so this will work great.

Any other cool gadgets I'm not aware of?

Speed, glad you picked one up and like it. It works great for me, because I'm on the road a lot. I can keep all of my financial info, invoices, time sheets, etc. in one easy place, and take care of it from whatever computer I have handy at the moment whenever I have time. I also keep a few emergency MP3's on it, along with documentation and install files for the work I do.

Please bear with a non-technogeek for a moment. I'm looking at a Fry's Electronics ad, they've got a 256MB USB 2.0 Flash drive advertised for $29.99. But the picture is fuzzy, just a grey rectangular object. Would this what you're talking about?

Also, can anyone tell me what a "9-in-1 media card drive" is? (From an ad for a new computer.)

It is for digital camera cards. It makes it easier for digital camera users because they can just pop in the card and transfer the images to the computer.

Hepcat, yes that is what we're talking about. They are sometimes referred to as flash drives because they use what is called flash memory technology. They're sometimes called pen drives, thumb drives, etc etc but it's all the same thing basically. Did it look like the ones in the picture in this article?

The 9-in-1 media card drive is a little gadget that can read all the different types of flash media. Most people get them to go with their digital cameras to read the cards that store your pictures.

The best you can do is to fake it
Sometimes you canít make it on your own

    That's a really good price for a 256mb flash drive. I just paid $110 for my 512mb.
