Ooh, that is a nice bathroom Duxxy! I love it. Yay for getting rid of all that tile, too! I hate cleaning tile.

Beautiful washroom Duxxy! I bet you are still in that wonder stage. When I updated my washroom from 1976 to 2007 last year, I wanted to it in it at first, I was so in love with it.

    Re: Home improvement hell

Thank you all, and yes I am still in that wo hoooo stage! I chose every single thing myself and bought everything myself (besides the toilet, tub and tub surround - but my contractor had very specific instructions) I love every single component of the whole room.
I saw the shower curtain on a tv show and I hunted it down (which wasn't easy because there isn't a shopping guide - go figure!) and pulled all of the colours from it. I know the colours are a little trendy right now but they will be easy to change when the home decor tide shifts again.
It was a friggin nightmare to have this done. This is our main floor washroom and it is directly across from my playroom so it was difficult to keep the kids away from the workers. And contractors aren't exactly known for being neat... they made my 'work environment' unsafe by leaving things around - like drill bits, nails and other small things that my little ones just couldn't wait to get their hands on.
Even with all of this the whole thing went very well and I love my bathroom. I would actually be able to fit in there if I were pregnant again, which is more than I can say about the previous "design" ( I use that term lightly)

Thanks for your comments - next we are going to tackle the kitchen floor!! Whooo hoo cusioned floors - here I come!

What an improvement! Looks so nice and sleek now.

That blue toilet was godawful, who would choose that color?

Duxxy, looks great. We once had a "Miami Vice" bathrooom. Aqua toilet and tub, pink tile. I actually was able to work with it, but I still hated the aqua toilet.

    But yours turned out fantastic!

    Re: Home improvement hell

I must lead a sheltered life, I don't think I've ever seen a blue or aqua toilet. In fact I can't remember seeing anything besides white, pink, or tan. Maybe I just don't pay attention to the color of "thrones". lol.
