    Once in a Blue Moon

I remember my mother always using the phrase "Once in a blue moon." Well, today is that day. Tonight is the second full moon of the month which is known as a blue moon. I can attest to the fact that full moons do make people act strange. Work a 3rd shift during a full moon at my restaurant after the bars close and you'll see a big difference in my customers. I hope for the sanity of my staff they're not twice as bad tonight.

OH great. I can count on my dogs and child acting nuts tonight. They keep us up every full moon. I wonder if it will be worse for a blue moon? Now I hear that song in my head.

My daughter was born during a total eclipse of a full moon.

Thanks for pointing that out, Unk. I didn't know what a blue moon was, besides a slow dancing song.

I wondered why my cats were all worked up last night. I hadn't considered the moon angle, so now at least it makes some sense. I woke up in the middle of the night with my neck all stiff because one of them had taken over my pillow, which she's never done before.

It's funny cause one of my employees asked me yesterday if it was a full moon cause the customers have started to act up again (in other words, they're gettin real darned ornery and are even worse pains in our tush than usual). When I was driving home I saw it just coming out for the night and it was gorgeous! I'll definitely have to take some time outside tonight to check it out....I'm just thankful that I'm off today to avoid the full moon madness, and hope it goes away by tomorrow!

I just about felt sick when I found out it was a blue moon last night. It was bad enough that I had to work on a "full moon Saturday night"... I am amazed that the trauma pager didn't go off at all.

I have never really noticed a difference in weirdness with a full moon vs. a not full moon. But then when you're surrounded by weirdness, I guess it doesn't matter.

Next time I'll just look for normal behavior. After all, that would be "weird" for me.
