That's lovely...just like a postcard. What I wouldn't give to live near mountains instead of these dreary flatlands. *sighs*

I hate the cold, but those mountains were just awe-inspiring.

Where in Colorado was that taken? I go there a lot because my brother lives in Colorado Springs, so I was just curious. It's so beautiful, one of my favorite places to go.

Gorgeous. I haven't been there, I've been through Aspen and Gunnison but didn't go up to Crested Butte. I remember seeing the signs though.

I skiied, but almost everyone else in our group snowboarded.

Skiing was a real chore for me this year. I was getting cramps in my arches of my feet (very painful). I've had a bad right knee for about 9 or 10 years, but on this trip, my left knee started bothering me too. My muscles never got sore, just my joints. You know you're getting older when the joints start hurting! I didn't think that would happen so soon though! I'm only 33 (at least until March) . To top it all off, I found my first grey hair on the way home. I shouldn't complain though, both of my brothers have had grey strands here & there since they were in in their early 20's. Well, one of them is STILL in his early 20's...

Beautiful photos. You're all very skilled! Here's something a bit less pretty...

The subway in Rome. It was just as crowded as Tokyo that day and far more chaotic and grimy. It reminded me of the depictions of sinners in hell you might see on a basilica's door. I'm sorry I didn't get a better picture.
