OK - seems I'm always posting photos here, but....deal with it

Emma and I took a float plane ride over the ADK's today, so I thought I'd share a bird's eye view

1. Lake Lila ("My" Lake

) to Nehasane Lake to Stillwater Reservoir
2. Little Tupper Lake (camped there during a hurricane

)
3. Long Lake (where we took off/landed)

Those are awesome photos, ADKLove, I'm afraid of heights, and those are making me jittery, but way cool!

Texie - thanks. The take off and landing were unbelievable smooth - nothing like on land. Em did get a bit queasy once, when I pointed out our little shadow on the ground below, but she loved it, especially seeing exactly where we had camped before and just how remote it really is.

Nice pics ADK. My best friend who passed away last year was a pilot and I certainly miss flying with him. I used to be scared of small planes, but from the moment I went up with him it was cool.

Unkelscott - so sorry about your friends passing. I hope these pics brought back GOOD memories.

(The guy we flew with, Tom, has been flying in the area for 30 years - he said its the closest to heaven he's ever gonna get
